April 1: Deep end closed from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be no lap swimming or deep water running. The dive well will be closed all day.
April 2 and April 3: The dive well and slide will be closed all day. During recreational swim, there will be no deep water running and only limited lap lanes available in the deep end.

1-2 p.m. Exercise your way across Hawaii. Join us by participating in an exercise challenge where you will track your physical activity whether it is here at White Oak Senior Center or at home. The tour will last throughout the month of April. For every 30 minutes of exercise you will get to log in one mile. We will help you track your mileage so you can see how far you come. This initiative is to help you see how much physical activity you are actually engaged in. Join us and celebrate living well. You never know how much you really exercise until you track it. There will be a reception and an award ceremony to celebrate the miles exercised. Free/Gratis

The Miracle League gives hundreds of children with disabilities something few dreamed possible. The Washington Nationals Miracle Field incorporates a cushioned surface that accommodates wheelchairs and other walking assistance devices, while helping prevent injuries. Cost is $50 for 8 sessions.

5:30-6:25 p.m. Practice low impact ballet steps and yoga stretches. This is a modified and choreographed work out loosely based on the New York City Ballet work out for mature adults and seniors. You will need to be fit enough to get up and down from the floor, for the warm up part of the class. For the ballet part, you can have the aid of a chair, until you build up your balance. Cost is $38 for 8 weeks, or $32 with HPSI card.
