MoCo Government Offices Are Closed On Jan. 1

Montgomery County government will observe the following holiday schedule for the New Year’s Day holiday on Jan. 1, 2013.

County Offices – closed on January 1;

Libraries – closed on January 1;
Olney Express Service will be closed through January 1;
Gaithersburg Interim Library will be closed December 31 and January 1

County liquor stores – closed on January 1;

Recreation – all facilities will be closed January 1; all community and neighborhood recreation centers will be closed through January 1; senior centers will be closed through January 1

Ride On – Sunday schedule on January 1
Metrobus – Sunday schedule on January 1
Metrorail – Sunday schedule on January 1

TRiPS Commuter Stores (Silver Spring and Friendship Heights) – closed January 1

Refuse/recycling pickup – regular collection on December 31. No collection on Tuesday.

Collection provided one day later for remainder of week (last collection day is Saturday.

Transfer Station – closed January 1;

Parking at public garages, lots, curbside meters – free on January 1;

MCPS Administrative Offices – closed

State offices & courts – closed
