Mayor Katz on The Future Mayor of Gaithersburg (Video)

In this MyMCMedia Extra, Gaithersburg Mayor Sidney Katz is about what advice he has for the next mayor of Gaithersburg. Take a look:

The Gaithersburg City Council will select a new mayor from its body at an executive session on Oct. 6. Councilmembers Jud Ashman and Henry Marraffa have both publicly said they are interested in serving as mayor. Councilmember Cathy Drzyzgula said she is not interested in being mayor. The two remaining Councilmembers are Michael Sesma and Ryan Spiegel and it’s unclear if they are interested in the mayoral position.

Mayor Katz has submitted his conditional resignation effective on Nov. 10. Katz is running unopposed for the District 3 County Council seat. The general election is set for Nov. 4.
