Mayor Hopes Crews Will Work Fast (Video)

The Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg is serving as a staging place for hundreds of utility crews who are working overtime to restore power to the region. Gaithersburg Mayor Sidney Katz noted how grateful the city was for all the crews in the field (local and national) but he said he hopes they work fast too.

According to Pepco’s outage map, there are still over 43,000 Pepco customers without power in Montgomery County as of 10 a.m. on July 4.
