Maryland SoccerPlex Receives Proclamation From Comptroller (PHOTOS)

Staff from the Maryland SoccerPlex and Discover Sports Center were joined by Maryland State Senator Craig Zucker and Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot early Thursday to receive recognition for the sports facility’s impact on the local economy.

With more than 12 tournaments held at the facility each year, the SoccerPlex brings more than 650,000 visitors and generates $24,000,000 annually,  according to Executive Director Trish Heffelfinger.

Franchot presented a proclamation to Heffelfinger that reads:
