Manna Food Center Will Stay Open Amid Coronavirus Outbreak
The Manna Food Center in Silver Spring will remain open and continue with their regular operations amid the coronavirus pandemic. It is taking extra precautions including the use of extra sanitation to ensure the safety of the facility, food, and people, according to Manna.
Manna is closely monitoring coronavirus updates and consulting with Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management, Homeland Security, the Department of Health and Human Services and food banks nationwide on the best things to do and alternative methods for service and delivery going forward.
The food center is also utilizing its local partnerships, such as Capital Area Food Bank, to help vulnerable community members have access to food, according to Manna. It will be providing updates daily on their situation.
Manna is welcoming people who want to support the food center and volunteer.
