Manna Food Center Kicks Off Its First Community Food Rescue Week

A recent study by the United States Department of Agriculture found that Americans waste about one pound of food per day.

That equals more than 230 pounds per year and Manna Food Center is trying to change that.

Manna, one of the largest food bank centers in Montgomery County, has kicked off its inaugural community food rescue week for residents.

Organizers say this week-long celebration is to help people understand what they can do with “rescued food” in an effort to prevent waste:
