Update: Spencerville Murder-Suicide Victims Identified
Update, 3 p.m.: Montgomery County police detectives identified the man and woman who died in a home in the Spencerville home as a result of a murder-suicide.
The 53-year-old female is being identified as Bonny Jean Dibble. The 56-year-old male is being identified as Stuart Michael Shamberger. Dibble and Shamberger were involved in a relationship and lived together in the home in the 15100 block of Peach Orchard Road, police said.
Original post: A man and a woman have died in an apparent murder-suicide in Spencerville, a Montgomery County police statement said Sunday.
The two died of apparent gunshot wounds about 8 p.m. Saturday. A firearm was found at the scene, a home in the 15100 block of Peach Orchard Road, police said.
Officers from the Wheaton police district found a man, 56, and a woman, 53, inside the home. The two were involved in a relationship and lived together in the home, police said.
Police have been unable to confirm the motive for the shootings but they are investigating this event as a domestic-related murder-suicide.
The identities of the victims will be released once family has been notified.
