Man Dies After Motorcycle Collides with Car in Ashton

istock police lights sirensA 56-year-old Ashton man died Saturday after his motorcycle collided with an automobile on Md. 108, a Montgomery County police statement said.

Gregory Viccharelli, 56 years old, of Astoria Lane in Ashton was taken to Suburban Hospital where he died from his injuries, police said.

The collision occurred about 7 p.m. Saturday, police said.

Viccharelli was driving eastbound on a 1995 Harley Davidson. For reasons still under investigation, Viccharelli collided with a westbound Toyota RAV4 on a curve on Ashton Road (Md. 108) between Ashland Drive and Tucker Road, police said.

Police identified the driver of the Toyota as Jae Li Yang, 59, of Deer Run in Laurel.  His passenger was  Ki Chan Chi, a 92-year-old woman who lives on Olney-Sandy Spring Road in Olney, police said.

They were taken to MedStar Montgomery Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
