Lt. Governor Statement on Tragedy
Maryland Lt. Governor Anthony G. Brown today released the following statement today on the tragedy in Connecticut:
“Our prayers are with the children, families, and educators of Sandy Hook Elementary School and all who were affected by today’s horrific events. Violence is always senseless, but violence against children is even more difficult to understand – here in Maryland and across the country, we grieve for those whose lives were tragically cut short. And as a father, my thoughts are with the parents who will be forced to bear this terrible burden. We pray for them and for the entire community of Newtown, Connecticut.”
