Lt. Gov. Brown on MLK, Jr. Day

Anthony BrownMaryland Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown released this statement in recognition of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day:

“Today we join together to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who gave his life in the struggle for equality. In the face of great prejudice, Dr. King taught us that ‘the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.’ He proved to us that real courage is choosing positive action directed by love. Through his example and his work, he showed us the promise of a world where all of our children can dream and succeed. It’s a dream that I’m inspired by each and every day as we work together to make Maryland better for all of our families.”
