Loretta Jean Garcia (D) Comments on Recordation Tax and Rent Control at County Council Candidates Forum

Montgomery County Council At-Large candidate Loretta Jean Garcia fielded questions from members of three development groups at a forum held in Rockville on Jan. 24. Garcia responds to a question about the 2016 increase in recordation tax and support for rent control.

The three organizations that hosted the forum were the Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors, the Maryland Building Industry Association, and the Apartment and Office Building Association.

The five candidates were Marilyn Balcombe, Charles Barkley, Loretta Jean Garcia, Seth Grimes, and Ashwani Jain.
