Local Nonprofit Hosts Seminar for Youth on Interacting with Law Enforcement (VIDEO)
Students from Don Bosco Cristo Rey had the chance to listen to officials from the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) about interacting with law enforcement in the community.
The event was held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Takoma Park and organized by the Neville Levi Nonprofit Association whose mission is to empower the African American, Latino and Muslim Communities in Montgomery County.
Members from the Takoma Park Police Department were also in attendance and the main thing stressed to students was the importance of communicating, respectively and honestly, with police officers.
In this extra video, CEO and President of the Neville Levi Nonprofit Association explains the importance of having this event:

This is great. Grassroot education like this is what we need.
