Local Chefs Turn Rescued Food Into Tasty Dishes

Two teams of professional and amateur chefs competed in the second annual No Waste, Big Taste: A Rescued Food Cooking Competition in Silver Spring. The competition was organized by Manna Food Center and co-hosted by Downtown Silver Spring and FRESHFARM Market. This was the final event of Montgomery County’s second annual Community Food Rescue Week. The goal: for local chefs to turn “ugly” produce into delightful dishes to raise awareness of hunger and food waste in the County.

MCM was there to give you a taste of the action.
