Local Artist Captures DC Women’s March in “Together We Rise” Painting

Kathy Lindert is a local artist who paints with oils in layers. She created a painting titled “Together We Rise” based on her experience participating in the 2017 D.C. Women’s March on Jan. 21, 2017. The painting took more than 500 hours to complete.
MCM producer Carolyn Raskauskas takes us to Lindert’s studio where she explains her process of creating an indirect oil painting. Lindert also talks about the importance to her of the painting based on the Women’s March.
