Liberal Leave is in Effect at Montgomery County’s Government Offices

Montgomery County officials have announced the government is open with liberal leave. Liberal leave is in effect for non-essential County employees. Liberal leave means that non-essential employees may use unscheduled annual leave, paid time off, leave without pay or compensatory leave without prior supervisory approval.

The County’s 311 online and telephone information system will open at 6 a.m. this morning (Jan. 3). The 311 self-service website is also available around the clock at MC311.com. For non-emergency police assistance, call the police department’s non-emergency number, 301.279.8000.

Residents are urged to exercise extreme caution when driving.

Residents can access detailed information about snow plowing operations, as well as live feeds from County traffic cameras, at http://www5.montgomerycountymd.gov/snowmap/. For up-to-date information about closings and delays, see the County’s website at www.montgomerycountymd.gov/snow.
