Leggett Signs Open Letter Addressed to Next U.S. President Calling for Immigration Reform

Ike LeggettMontgomery County Executive Ike Leggett has signed an open letter, written by Cities for Action, to the next President of the United States, calling for immigration reform.

Leggett signed the letter along with other mayors and municipal leaders from across the country including; Mayor of Baltimore Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser.

“We urge leaders from both the Democratic and Republican parties to reject the politics of division and xenophobia and instead commit to supporting immigration reform, including a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, in the first 100 days of the next Presidency,” the letter stated.
