Leggett and McCarthy to Announce Special Unit to Protect Seniors

State’s Attorney John McCarthy and Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett are scheduled to announce the creation of a new special unit to focus on crimes against seniors and vulnerable adults at a news conference on Oct. 16.

Also joining McCarthy and Leggett will be Eric Friedman, Director of the County’s Department of Consumer Affairs.

The news conference will be broadcast live on County Cable Montgomery, Channel 6 for RCN and Comcast subscribers and Channel 30 for Verizon subscribers.
