Ledecky Breaks Her Own World Record, Adds To her Medal Count
Swimming phenom Katie Ledecky broke her own world record in the 400-meter freestyle event at the Pan Pacific Championship in Australia Aug. 23 and added to her gold medal count.
According to WTOP, the Bethesda native swam the race in 3:58.37, nearly half a second faster than her record. This was her fourth gold medal of the meet which included golds in the 200 and 800-meter freestyle events and the 4×200-meter relay.
