Lavelle, Pugh Continue Fight for Equal Pay

At a press conference at FedEx Field in Landover on Monday, Washington Spirit players Rose Lavelle and Mallory Pugh talked about the famous “equal pay” chant after winning the Women’s World Cup.

When asked about the ongoing issue, Lavelle did not mince words.

Elise Kellond-Knight of Australia, a defensive midfielder for the Spirit, said that other leagues around the world have been positively affected by the U.S. team’s fight for equal pay.
