Large Barn Fire in Damascus
Approximately 45 firefighters are on the scene of a large barn fire in Damascus.
Montgomery County Fire Department Spokesman Pete Piringer said on Twitter that the barn, on the 8900 block of Gue Road in Damascus, was “mostly filled with hay.”
Around 1:30 p.m., Piringer tweeted that the fire was under control, and no one was injured.
Investigators were called to determine cause and origin. He added that “several chickens did not survive the fire.”
