Landon Wins Season Opener Against Whitman in Nonconference Play (PHOTOS)
Two Bethesda high school varsity football teams began their season with a nonconference match this afternoon. It was the Walt Whitman Vikings against the Landon Bears, the game was played at Landon’s Triplett Field at Bordley Stadium. The final score was 34-0, Landon.
The Bears returned the kickoff with a touchdown run in the first play of the game and never looked back.

Next up for Landon is an away game at St. Mary’s High School in Annapolis, while Whitman also is on the road to take on Albert Einstein in Kensington.
