Korean Community Thanks County Executive (Video)

Members of the Korean community recently hosted an appreciation event to thank County Executive Ike Leggett for including over $5 million in community grants in his fiscal year 2015 proposed budget.

What that means is that hundreds of nonprofit and community based organizations will receive funding to carry out their services.

For the Korean community in particular, the recommended budget includes over one half a million dollars in assistance to four organizations: the Korean Association of the State of Maryland, the Korean American Association of the Washington Metropolitan Area, the Korean Community Service Center of Greater Washington and the Korean American Senior Citizens Association.
