Kojo Nnamdi to Hold Town Hall on School Diversity in Montgomery County

WAMU 88.5’s Kojo Nnamdi will host a town hall-style discussion on diversity and the achievement gap in Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) on Tuesday, Feb. 26.

The event takes place at the Silver Spring Civic Building from 6 to 8 p.m. Doors to the Civic Building will open at 6 p.m. and the discussion will begin at 6:30 p.m.

MCPS Superintendent Jack Smith will be one of the panelists for the discussion. Topics will include overcrowding, the achievement gap and school boundaries.

This event is part of a series marking The Kojo Nnamdi Shows 20th anniversary. More information on the show is available here.

The event is free and open to the public and will be recorded. Walk-ins will not be guaranteed a seat. Register to attend this town hall, here. Childcare will be available during the event.
