Knee Injury Ends Bresee’s Season

Bryan Bresee, Clemson’s all-ACC defensive lineman from Damascus, will miss the rest of the 2021 season with a torn ACL in his knee. Bresee, a sophomore, got hurt in the third quarter of the NC State game on Saturday. The Tigers, a perennial pick to make the four-team college football playoff,  lost the game 27-21 in double overtime to fall to 1-2, severely damaging their chances to win a national championship.

Bresee will also undergo surgery on his shoulder according to Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney but that is considered a “clean up” rather than something serious.
