Kingsview Middle School Student Struck by Vehicle at Bus Stop
A Kingsview Middle School student was struck by a car near a bus stop at Richter Farm Road and Sandlering Place on Wednesday morning in Germantown.
According to Principal Jimmy D’Andrea, the collision happened around 7:45 a.m. today and paramedics and school officials immediately responded to the scene.
“The student was transported to the hospital for evaluation and has returned to school with what appears to be minor injuries,” D’Andrea said in an email message to parents.
D’Andrea said a number of students were on the school bus when the collision occurred and saw the emergency vehicles. He said administrators and counselors have met with those students and counselors continue to be available to students.
“We are working with the Montgomery County Police Department and the MCPS Department of Transportation to review the circumstances of the incident and to ensure that all students are able to travel safely to and from school,” D’Andrea said.
