Judge Denies Bail For Man Who Police Say Kidnapped Elderly Woman

A man accused of kidnapping a 80-year-old-Potomac woman was denied bail during a court hearing Monday afternoon.

Robert Dove, 39, was arrested approximately three days after he allegedly forced his way into the victim’s home, pulled out a knife and demanded money.

In court, prosecutors argued that with the suspect’s lengthy record of violent crimes and escapes, he posed a danger to the community.

Montgomery County District Court Judge John Moffett agreed.

Dove faces more than 100 years of jail time if convicted.

He was charged with home invasion, armed robbery, multiple counts of assault and kidnapping.
