Josiah Henson Leadership Conference III (LIVE STREAM)

Montgomery Community Media (MCM) and the Montgomery Parks Foundation host the third installment of the Josiah Henson Leadership Conference on Wednesday, June 28 from 9 a.m. to noon at the MCM studios in Rockville. The leadership conference addresses the local legacy, history and challenges facing Montgomery County’s African Americans and people of African ancestry.

The conference serves as an introduction to the campaign for the Josiah Henson Park Museum and Education Center in North Bethesda. Debbi Jarvis, vice president corporate citizenship and social responsibility at Pepco Holdings, joins Campaign Chair Catherine Leggett in leading the morning activities.

Distinguished guest speakers address these primary topics:

  • Panel Discussion: The Living Legacy of Faith and the African American Experience;
