Johnny NFL?
Nobody can do what Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel can do. The sophomore is amazingly talented and always finds a way to make something out of nothing. I believe Manziel doesn’t get the credit that he deserves for what he has done this year. Manziel has been better statistically this year than when he won the Heisman. Manziel has a better QBR (186.9) and has thrown more touchdowns and the season isn’t even over! Though he didn’t beat Alabama, his stats are just as good is not better. We all know Johnny will be leaving this year and that he will be headed for the NFL draft. I believe that he may go higher in the draft then a lot of people expect. People count him out because of his height but he makes up for it in arm strength and accuracy. Manziel is about 6 feet tall but there are examples of people that are his height that have great success. Drew Brees is about 6 feet and holds the record for passing yards in a season and has a super bowl ring. He has also led the Saints to a 8-2 record. To top it all of, Manziel has better sophomore stats than Brees did when he was at Purdue. When I look at Johnny “Football” Manziel I see a very athletic quarterback with NFL potential. I could see him fitting very well on a team like the Chargers. With Phillip Rivers starting to show that he may not be the answer to the Chargers problems they could bring in Johnny and get good production and signs of potential. Overall I think the quarterbacks that will thrive in the NFL are Manziel, Mariota and Winston (once he is draft eligible). Manziel is exciting, fun and competitive which means that the fans will love him too. Johnny Manziel is a NFL ready quarterback and he shows it game in and game out. Next week they will face a real test in LSU’s defense, if he can walk by them then he will be a big eye opener when NFL teams are scouting.
