Jets Flying Overhead for Capital Area Events

Takoma Park Police say that between Oct. 21 and Oct. 24, 2017, the following aircraft are scheduled for flyover events:

• Saturday, Oct. 21, 3:21 p.m. — Four F-18 aircraft will be conducting a flyover of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis for a football game.
• Sunday, Oct. 22, 7:22 a.m. — There will be a parachute jump conducted by eight jumpers at the Pentagon for the Marine Corps Marathon opening ceremonies.
• And 7:55 a.m. — Two V-22 Osprey aircraft will be conducting a flyover at the Pentagon for the Marine Corps Marathon opening ceremonies.
• Tuesday, Oct. 24, 9:50 a.m. — Four F-18 aircraft will be conducting a flyover of Arlington National Cemetery.

This activity has been coordinated in cooperation with the Federal Aviation Administration, U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Capitol Police, U.S. Park Police, Department of Defense, Pentagon Force Protection Agency, Transportation Security Administration and other NCR area agencies.
