For ages 18 and up. SHRED is an acronym for Synergetic, High Intensity, Resistance, Endurance and Dynamic, which describes the primary elements and variables you’ll demand of your body each time you participate in this class. Jillian’s fun and effective high intensity, metabolic conditioning workout provides the ultimate challenge. Participants need to bring light hand weights (3-5lb suggested) and yoga mat. Yoga is more than just physical exercise- it’s a transformation practice that integrates body, mind and spirit. There will be a number of dynamic instructors who will donate their time. Donations requested $20.00 or whatever you can afford to give to the veterans. Cash or checks made to the Damascus Senior Center Incorporated (Please write in the box on the check for Fisher House Foundation) and DSCSI will send one check to the Fisher House Foundation of Rockville MD.

January 21: 100 Mile Challenge Kickoff

2-4 pm Walk, jog, run a mile a day for 100 days or participate in 20 minutes of continuous physical activity (bike, swim, yoga, aerobics, ski, weightlifting etc.) it all counts as one mile. Get creative and remember, it’s all about having fun while making a lifestyle change! The program is self-reporting; you are accountable for tracking your own miles. You can simply do one mile a day or you can complete 2 miles one day and take a break the next – the goal is to complete 100 miles (or more) in 100 days, it’s all up to you.
All registered receive a t-shirt, water bottle and swag bag. In addition registered participants are automatically eligible to win weekly prizes and entered into the Grand Prize drawing(s) Receive weekly emails to keep you motivated and moving with health and wellness information and VIP Access to the Health and Wellness Festival on May 6, 2017.
