Jack Smith Discusses Security in Wake of Developments in Rockville High Case (VIDEO)

In the wake of Friday’s announcement that charges had been dropped in the Rockville High School rape case, School Superintendent Jack Smith met with the members of the media.

Here’s the video of his discussion with MyMCMedia.org:

School Board President Michael Durso said the incident brings home the fact that school safety is important, whether the threat comes from an external source or internal.

“I think schools have always been concerned about internal situations, interactions between student and staff,” Durso said. “This underscores that we’re in a climate that we should not take safety and security for granted.”
