In Wake of Las Vegas, Berliner ‘Proud’ To Live in State Where Assault Rifle Ownership Impossible (VIDEO)

Montgomery County Council President Roger Berliner used a part of his meeting with the media Monday to discuss the mass shooting in Las Vegas that left at least 50 people killed.

“It is truly an horrific attack, an horrific assault, an horrific event,” Berliner told reporters. “And so to all those who were affected and are affected, we say prayers for you, as the president did about 30 minutes ago. And we also say thanks to the first responders, many of whom rushed onto the scene with just a handgun into what was clearly a very dangerous situation.”

Berliner then discussed the weapon Stephen Paddock, 64, used to mow down as many as 58 people. Here’s a MyMCMedia Extra of his remarks:
