In 2020, many Olympic athletes had their worlds turned upside down when COVID-19 ravaged the country and caused businesses and gyms to lockdown. MYMCM spoke to Philippa Bacon, mother of Phoebe Bacon, about what her daughter did to keep in shape when pools were closed to prepare for Tokyo.
Bacon, a Chevy Chase resident who graduated from Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in 2020, competes in the 200 women’s backstroke final Friday at 9:37 p.m., Eastern Standard Time.
