House Fire in Rockville Causes Estimated $100,000 in Damage (PHOTOS)

UPDATED 8.2.15 Montgomery County firefighters are investigating what sparked a house fire in the 900 block of Stonestreet Avenue in Rockville shortly after midnight on August 1st.

According to Fire and Rescue Spokesperson Pete Piringer, the blaze caused an estimated $100,000 in damage to the structure.

The house was vacant at the time of the fire.  There were no injuries, according to Piringer.

The investigation continues.

UPDATED 8.1.15, 6:45 p.m. According to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services, the house fire at 904 North Stonestreet Ave. caused $100,000 of structural damage. The house was vacant at the time of the incident. ORIGINAL POST: An overnight house fire resulted in the partial collapse of a home in the 900 block of North Stonestreet Avenue in Rockville. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) reports neighbors described hearing a loud boom. According to MCFRS, no injuries were reported and the incident remains under investigation.
