House Fire on Muncaster Mill Road Displaces Five People (PHOTOS)
Dozens of Montgomery County firefighters responded to a house fire in the 6100 block of Muncaster Mill Road around 11 p.m. on Monday night.
The blaze displaced five people, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) spokesperson Pete Piringer.
According to Piringer, the fire originated in the basement and appears to have been caused by a malfunctioning furnace. Piringer said damages are estimated at $150,000.
There were road closures in the neighborhood last night during the fire department’s response.
