House Fire on Dowlais Court in Rockville
Montgomery County firefighters battled a blaze at a two-story, split-level house at 4905 Dowlais Court in Rockville on May 24.
Fire Spokesperson Pete Piringer reported on his Twitter account that heavy fire was visible as first units arrived at around 9:45 p.m.
According to Piringer, the fire caused significant damage to the home and it was believed to have ignited in the basement.
Piringer said there was no one home at the time of the fire and no injuries reported.
According to Piringer, the cause of damage is estimated at $200,000 and the origin of the fire is a piece of electrified art. Piringer said the cause of the fire has been ruled electrical.
