House Fire on Brookmead Drive in Germantown
Montgomery County firefighters are investigating what ignited a house fire at 14513 Brookmead Drive in Germantown on May 25.
Fire and Rescue Spokesperson Pete Piringer reports that smoke was showing from the house as the first units arrived at the scene on Sunday morning. Because the fire occurred in a non-hydrant area, additional water trucks were called upon during the emergency fire response period.
Piringer said all the occupants escaped the house and no injuries were reported.
There were some road closures in the vicinity of Route 118 and Route 28 as a result of the firefighting operation.
So far, no word on what caused the fire or the estimated cost of damage to the house.
