House Fire in Rockville Causes $600,000 in Damage (Video & Photos)
UPDATED Over 50 Montgomery County firefighters battled a single-family house fire at 112 Monument Street in Rockville during the late afternoon of May 1.
As firefighters arrived on scene, Fire Spokesperson Pete Piringer reported on his Twitter account that heavy fire was visible thru the roof and additional units were requested.
Piringer said there was no one home and no injuries were reported.
According to Piringer, the fire caused over $600,000 in damage and two adults have been displaced. He said the fire started in the kitchen and has been ruled accidental.
While firefighters were on site, Great Falls Road was closed between Maryland Avenue and West Montgomery Street.
