House Fire in Chevy Chase
UPDATED Montgomery County fire investigators have determined what sparked a house fire in the 3300 block of Brooklawn Terrace in Chevy Chase overnight.
According to Fire Spokesperson Pete Piringer, the fire started in the basement of the two-story house around 11 p.m. on May 11 and was electrical in nature. He said the fire has been ruled an accident.
Piringer said there was no one home at the time of the fire. He said one firefighter was injured on the scene.
Damage is estimated to be around $400,000, according to Piringer.
