Honoring Neil Armstrong

President Barack Obama has ordered the United States flag and all State flags flown at half-staff on Friday, August 31, 2012, from sunrise to sunset. This is in honor of Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, who died on August 25, 2012.

When I was at The Air & Space Channel, I had the honor of working with the likes of Apollo astronaut Pete Conrad and others of these pioneers of space. People like Pete and Neil are as brave as they are modest in their achievements, and this country (and “all mankind”) owes them an incalculable debt for their sacrifice and service.
