Honoring Local Heroes (Video)

The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce honored local public safety heroes at its annual awards luncheon earlier this month. County, state, and federal officials attended the event, including Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett (D) and Maryland Senator Benjamin L. Cardin (D).

The awards are targeted to members of any of the five branches of public safety agencies in Montgomery County (Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, Montgomery County Police Department, Maryland-National Capital Park Police, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and Montgomery County’s Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation). Honorees are recognized at four levels — honorable mention, and bronze, silver, and gold medals of valor.
