Honored to Serve as District Governor of Rotary Clubs in Maryland and Washington, D.C.

As I have mentioned previously in this blog, I serve as the Area Governor for the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rotary Club. During this past year, I was honored to serve as the District 7620 Governor Elect. On Saturday, June 24, I was installed as the first African American Governor for Rotary District 7620. This district includes 63 Rotary Clubs with 2,200 members located in Central Maryland and Washington, D.C.

Over 100 Rotarians and friends attended the event which was held at the Manor Country Club in Rockville.

Montgomery County Councilmember Sidney Katz presented me with a proclamation declaring June 24th as Gregory Wims day.
