Home Invasion & Shooting

Montgomery County police responded shortly before 1 a.m. on March 21 to a residence in the 13000 block of Freeland Road in the Aspen Hill area for the report of a shooting. At the home, police found a 14-year-old girl, who had been shot in the ankle, and a 55-year-old man, who had been shot in the upper body.

According to police, two suspects forced entry through a door into the home on Freeland Road. The armed suspects demanded money from the home’s residents, police said.

Polce said during the interaction between the suspects and residents, the teen girl and adult male were shot. According to police, the suspects fled from the home. The suspects, police said, are described as white males who are both between the ages of 20 and 25.

Both victims were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

At this time, detectives believe there is some association between the suspects and residents.
