The holiday season is officially here and there are a ton of events happening around Montgomery County to mark the occasion. There’s everything from tree lightings, winter festivals and holiday performances.

Dec. 1 to Jan. 1: Festival of Lights at the Washington, D.C. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter–day Saints (Mormon Temple)

Dec. 3: Bethesda’s Winter Wonderland, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Dec. 16: The Hip Hop Nutcracker, The Music Center at Strathmore
