Holiday Alcohol Task Force Enforcement Results

The Montgomery County Police Alcohol Holiday Task Force, comprised of officers from the Alcohol Initiatives Section, the six police districts, officers from the Gaithersburg City Police Department, the Maryland National Capital Park Police Department, Maryland State Police, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Takoma Park Police Department, have devoted their attention to detecting alcohol-related offenses this holiday season.

The task force began on Nov. 16 and will continue through Jan. 7, 2017.

Below are some results from week two of the Holiday Task Force:

November 22 (Tuesday), November 23 (Wednesday), November 25 (Friday), November 26 (Saturday):

• 30 – Arrests for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (DUI)

• 10 – Civil Alcohol Citations issued to adults for possession of alcohol under the age of 21

• 1 – Criminal Citations issued to adults for selling alcohol to a minor in a business

• 3 – Civil Alcohol Citations issued to juveniles for possession of alcohol under the age of 21
