Highway Delivery: Baby Born Along Interstate 270 (Photos)
UPDATED Talk about a highway delivery.
An Adamstown woman gave birth to a baby boy on southbound Interstate 270, near Middlebrook Road, shortly before 6 a.m. on June 6 in the Germantown area.
Fire and Rescue Spokesperson Pete Piringer reported on his Twitter account that both mother and baby are doing fine.
Piringer said the baby’s dad delivered the baby, and EMS crews assisted and then transported both mom and baby to Shady Grove Adventist Hospital.
A hospital spokesperson said the baby is named Atticus and he weighs 9 lbs. 7 oz. and is 21 inches long.
