High School Football Playoffs

The Maryland high school football playoffs begin this weekend across the state. Teams have been seeded 1 – 4 based on the points accrued throughout the 10 weeks of season play. All games will be played at the home site of the higher-seeded team. Montgomery County Public High Schools will play in the 4A West, 4A North, 3A West, 2A West division playoffs.

Winners of the region semifinals will move on to compete in the Region Finals on the weekend of November 16. Again, the game will be played at the home site of the higher seeded team in each pairing. Each region champ qualifies for the State Semifinals which will be played on the weekend of November 23. Teams will be reseeded in their classification based on their regular season final point totals. The #1 seed will host the #4 seeded team while the #2 seeded team will host the #3 seed.

The Finals will take place Thursday, November 29 – Saturday, December 1 at the M&T Bank Stadium. Tickets are available online here at the MPSSAA website.
