Health Experts: Kids Should Continue Drowning Prevention Classes Amid Pandemic
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), drownings are a leading cause of injury death for young children ages one to 14. National health leaders reported that child drownings in some states have increased since the pandemic began.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that kids continue to safely participate in organized drowning prevention classes despite the COVID-19 health crisis.
