Hate Fliers Left Behind Rockville Neighborhood

Someone left hate fliers in the 600 block of Great Falls Road, according to a recent Rockville city police crime summary.

The fliers were left behind between 3:15 p.m. and 4 p.m., police said.

The neighborhood includes Julius West Middle School, a Jehovah’s Witnesses Hall and the Montgomery-Cornerstone Masonic lodge.

Arrests

On July 20, a request was submitted to the Montgomery County Police Department’s Special Victims Investigations Division for three males and one female, 15 to 17 years old, to be charged with first- and third-degree burglary, theft, motor vehicle theft, rogue and vagabond, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit motor vehicle theft, and conspiracy to commit theft, after an incident that occurred earlier in the day between 12 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. in the 1000 block of Grand Champion Drive.

On Aug. 18 between 3:16 a.m. and 3:30 a.m., a 26-year-old man was arrested for malicious destruction of property, after an incident that occurred in the 1000 block of Rockville Pike.

On July 20, a request was submitted to the Montgomery County Police Department’s Special Victims Investigations Division for a 17-year-old man to be charged with trespassing, fourth-degree burglary, after an incident that occurred in the 2400 block of Wootton Parkway.

On Aug. 21 at 4:54 p.m., a 35-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct, after an incident that occurred in the 600 block of Hungerford Drive.

On Aug. 32 between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., a 32-year-old man was arrested for possession of an open container, consuming an alcoholic beverage in public, trespassing, and failure to identify oneself to a police officer, after an incident that occurred in the 400 block of Hungerford Drive.

On Aug. 24 between 3:01 p.m. and 4 p.m., a 34-year-old man was arrested for trespassing and disorderly conduct, after an incident that occurred in the 100 block of Gibbs Street.

On Aug. 26 at 2:55 p.m., a 28-year-old man was arrested for possession of a dangerous weapon (knife) and issued a citation for littering, after an incident that occurred near McAuliffe Drive and Linthicum Street.

Incidents

300 block of Baltimore Road, the complainant reported that someone removed a vehicle radio, spare change, lottery tickets and recreational passes from an unlocked vehicle between 9:30 a.m. Aug. 14 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 15.

1400 block of Rockville Pike, the complainant reported that someone entered the business on Aug. 15 between 11:40 a.m. and 11:41 p.m. The suspect grabbed several shirts from a display and then fled the store.

1600 block of Rockville Pike, the complainant reported that two women entered the business on Aug. 15 between 2:14 p.m. and 2:20 p.m. The women removed several items from shelving and placed them into a shopping bag. One woman proceeded past the cash registers and out of the store without paying for the items. One woman had a thin build, long black hair, dark brown skin tone, last seen wearing brown ankle boots, grayish blue skinny jeans, white V-neck T-shirt, blue jean jacket and a black shoulder strap purse. The other woman was had a medium build, very short black hair, dark brown skin tone, last seen wearing blue jacket tied around the waist, white sneakers, blue jeans, Navy blue T-shirt with a white heart on the front.

400 block of Lincoln Street, someone gained entry by prying open a rear door to a business between 10 p.m. Aug. 15 and 6:16 a.m. Aug. 16. Once inside the suspect removed cash from the cash register.

900 block of Rockville Pike, a man gained entry into a business, by prying the bars off of a side window and forcing it open between 11:41 p.m. Aug. 16 and 1 a.m. Aug. 17. Once inside, the man pried open a safe and removed cash, checks and a bottle of water. The suspect is described as 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, medium short hair, light brown skin tone, last seen wearing white glove on left hand, brown boots, blue baseball cap, blue jeans and green shirt.

100 block of Congressional Lane, a man gained entry into a business, by breaking a glass front door on Aug. 17 between 3:50 a.m. and 4:10 a.m. Once inside the man removed loose change from a cash drawer. The suspect is described as 5 feet 9 inches, 250 pounds, large build, black afro, last seen wearing black shoes with white laces, black jacket with hood and blue jeans.

3200 block of Tower Oaks Boulevard, the complainant reported that someone removed cash from a locked vehicle on Aug. 17 between 9:30 p.m. and 9:35 p.m.

400 block of Nature Lane, someone entered an unsecured garage and removed a bicycle on Aug. 18 between 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

100 block of Congressional Lane, someone gained entry by breaking a front glass door to a business on Aug. 20 between 4:15 a.m. and 4:20 a.m. Once inside the suspect removed loose change. A review of the video surveillance describes the suspect as 5 feet 9 inches tall, 250 pounds, large build, black afro, last seen wearing black shoes with white laces, black jacket with hood and blue jeans.

1600 block of Rockville Pike, someone gained entry by breaking a front glass door to a business on Aug. 20 at 4:44 a.m. Once inside the person removed a cash register.

800 block of Rockville Pie, the complainant reported that someone removed several pieces of patio furniture from a business on Aug. 20 between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

500 block of Hungerford Drive, the complainant reported that someone removed a GPS from a vehicle between 9 p.m. Aug. 13 and 6 a.m. Aug. 16.

400 block of Lincoln Street, someone gained entry into a business by breaking the front glass door on Aug. 21 between 12:40 a.m. and 12:48 a.m. Once inside, the person removed cash from two cash registers.

300 block of Martins Lane, the complainant reported that someone removed a cell phone and cash from an unattended bag on Aug. 21 between 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Unit block of Maryland Avenue, the complainant reported that someone removed a cell phone from a charging station on Aug. 22 between 11 a.m. and 12:09 p.m.

800 block of Elmcroft Boulevard, someone removed two items of jewelry, and insurance and registration cards from a vehicle between 6 p.m. Aug. 22 and 5 p.m. Aug. 24.

100 block of Congressional Lane, the complainant reported that someone removed a wallet from an unsecured purse on Aug. 24 between 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

400 block of Trotter Farm Drive, the complainant reported that someone removed a backpack containing a passport, reading materials, and a medical device, that had been left unattended between 7 p.m. Aug. 21 and 2 a.m. Aug. 22.

800 block of Hungerford Drive, the complainant reported that someone removed a vehicle between 2 p.m. Aug. 22 and 7:52 p.m. Aug. 26.
